Healthy teeth are one of the main factors in overall health. Teeth are susceptible to bacterial damage, tooth decay, oral cancer and many more. Achieving healthy teeth is not an overnight success, it needs consistent maintenance of teeth daily.

  1. Brush and Floss Regularly

This is the first step for healthy teeth. After eating, food particles get trapped inside the teeth gap. These food particles become the reason for tooth decay in the later stage. Advising your children to brush twice and floss once a day will keep the accommodated foods go away and, chances of tooth decay reduce.

  1. Rinse After Meal

Make a habit of cleaning your children’s teeth regularly after eating. Rinse with water for 30 seconds after the meal so the debris will not accommodate even in first place.

  1. Add Calcium-rich Foods

Calcium is the rich mineral for the teeth. Calcium makes the teeth enamel healthy which makes the teeth strong. Give your children a regular intake of calcium-rich foods. Milk, almond, yogurt, beans are some of the foods which you should give to your children on a regular basis.

  1. Avoid Sugary Food and Drinks

Sugary foods and drinks are the cause of bacterial feed on the teeth. Together they form the plaque and creates cavities in the teeth. Try to avoid sugary foods and drinks for your child by finding some alternatives that your kids would love to consume.

  1. Use Fluoridated Toothpaste 

Fluoride makes the tooth enamel strong and reduces the amount of acid produced by bacteria on your teeth. Regular use of fluoride in the developing phase of your children’s teeth will make their teeth shallow and help to remove plaque easier.
